Department of Petroleum Systems Control Engineering

The Department of Petroleum Systems Control Engineering was established in the year 2010 - 1431 AH. It specializes in central control and Petroleum control systems installations. The department has started its scientific activities by accepting 56 students and more than 169 engineers have been graduated over the past six years. The department's name was changed from "Control & Computers Engineering" to "Petroleum Systems Control Engineering" in 2016 after making some modifications to the syllabus in such a way that made it directly serve the Petroleum industry sector. The evening study was also launched for the academic year 2019-2020.

Preparing specialized staff in the control of Petroleum systems and equipped with scientific knowledge in accordance with the latest methods and providing research, studies and consultations for different sectors.

5-    The future plans of the department

The Department of Petroleum Systems Control Engineering has several scientific activities in the form of scientific exhibitions and valuable graduation projects. Examples include developing scientific laboratories, manufactured and maintained several laboratory devices. The department has a future vision represented by opening up to the market from both the government and private sectors. Recently, signing a cooperation document with Northern Oil Refineries Baiji. The department also works to market its products from the laboratories where the work team manufactured the laboratory devices for the Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering Laboratory.

 

Department of Petroleum and Gas Refining Engineering

The Petroleum and Gas Refining Engineering Department was established in the year 2010 - 1431 AH to be one of the most prominent departments in Iraqi colleges, which specializes in treating and refining petroleum products after extracting them from underground. The department started its scientific work by accepting approximately 52 students and more than 169 engineers have been graduated over the past six years. The department's name was changed from "Petroleum Processes Engineering" to "Petroleum and Gas Refining Engineering" in 2018 after making some modifications to the syllabus in such a way that made it directly serve the Petroleum industry sector. The evening study was also launched for the academic year 2019-2020.
